I made this dessert for my dad while visiting his home, and instead of using chopped pecans, because him and my husband don't care for them, I used coarsely crushed Oreo cookies. It was WONDERFUL! My father, husband, step mother and myself LOVED IT. Careful how much you put in your bowl though, it's VERY decadent. Chocolate lover's DREAM! Thanks Paula!

I made this for a men's conference at our church but added a layer of seedless raspberry preserves and just used cool whip. It was fantastic! The men just loved my chocolate raspberry trifle!

This is a great recipe. My family loves it. When the teenage grandchildren want me to make it again, I know it's OK! So delicious! With a husband who can't have the pecans and a grandson who loves chocolate, but no nuts, I decided to use Malt Balls (Whoppers. I put some in the food processor and used them instead on pecans. They made a wonderful exchange. Decorated the top with M & M's and the new minature candy-coated Kisses.

Substituted sliced brownies for the cake cubes. Had none leftover.
