I've made this with a not too heavy red wine with a little soda added to the glass when you drink it. Everyone loved it.

I made the sangria with a Reisling and at about 8 hours it was perfect but as the night went on the citrus became over bearing. Next time I would let the fruit marinade for 8 hours, then seperate it from most of the sangria and then sevre the fruit in the glasses just before serving.

Gets even better the longer you leave it in the fridge. Spend 5 minutes throwing it together in the morning, and impress everyone with a lovely and delicious drink at dinner.

Everyone loved this recipe! It was the hit of the party! I made it at 1:00 and the first drink was poured at 5:30. It's a must have at a summer party.

Turned out nicely! I made the morning of our event (our event was at 7p and it was much better by 7 than in the am when I initially tasted it. I also added some Fresca to ease it up a bit (it was a little strong and to stretch it a little further.

I found this easy to make, and you can prepare it ahead of time. Everyone that has tasted this enjoyed the flavor very much. I make it on a regular basis when I entertain. It's especially refreshing on a summers evening.
