Soooo good! And VERY easy! My dough rose a LOT and got nice and fluffy. It was fun to roll out! I decided to take some of the reviewers' advice and bake at 350 instead of 450, but after 10 minutes my pretzels were still very light colored and obviously not cooked all the way through. I had to do at least another 5 min (didn't set timer during which time I turned up the heat to 400.
I enjoyed the dipping sauce, but my boyfriend did not think the pretzels needed it. He enjoyed as is. I will def be making these again very soon!

Well, the dough didn't really raise (maybe my yeast wasn't active? but they were still super tasty!

Not only very tasty but oh so easy to make. If you tried Alton Brown's recipe, which I did first, I think you will like this one more. Easier to make, and less steps. The flavor is also better. I also brushed the top of the pretzels w/ the butter vs. dipping them in. Wish I would have doubled the recipe. But because they are so easy it is no big deal to do it again. Give this one a try. Your kids & husband will love them!!! Mine do.

Amazing. I was worried they would not taste like Aunt Annie's and taste more like the generic soft pretzles. Fortunately they are spot-on! Do not skip the dipping in soda water step -it makes them golden brown. I baked them at 350-400 for about 7 minutes. The dough is delicious and can probably be used for other fun things. I must have read it on another site -but making the rolled dough as thin as possible makes them taste more like Annie's.

I found the recipe very easy to make. 450 degrees is a little to hot. I will make again and lower the temperature a bit. My husband was overjoyed and I was surprised at how light and moist the pretzels were. This recipe is a keeper. I did not try the dipping sauce or the butter on the finished product. I just dip mine in regular mustard. Yum...

They taste like store bought pretzels! Delicious! I can't believe I could make soft pretzels until I found this recipe. It was easy and am definitely will make them again. Thanks for the recipe!!
Oh, and since I didn't have fresh milk I substitute with 3 tbs dry powder full cream milk in a cup of warm water.

I made this today and it's soo yummy! I cooked it for 350 and for 10 min and they came out perfect! I didn't dip it in the butter afterwards though, I just spread melted butter on the top!

I made the mistake of walking past a vendor selling pretzels and didnt get one, so naturally i craved soft pretzels all day. I found this recipe and made them as soon as i got home, it was easy and delicious. They're not quite the same but equally rewarding.
