I love this recipe!! I love the herb blend. IT works really well on chicken legs and drumsticks which are much more user friendly for the kids. This was requested for birthday dinner by my 3 year old so that is saying a great deal. I skip the tomatoes and do them on the grill (even in the dead of winter...there is nothing like a grilled tomato..
I make a double or triple batch of the rub and save it in the fridge for all kinds of stuff. I put it on fish, mix it with mayo for a spread on a sandwich...the options are ENDLESS.

The chicken turns out so juicy and tender it is great! I added some more garlic and tomatoes and some red potatoes at the bottom of the pan. It does take a while to cook so you make sure you plan ahead for that. My husband keeps asking for me to make this again and again.

This recipe was easy to follow and turned out great. The chicken and tomatoes had great flavor and the herb/yogurt blend was the perfect sauce. I substitued a wild rice blend with the cucumber salad for the side and received rave reviews from my dinner guests. I would definitely recommend this recipe.

tHE PICTURE OF THIS IN FOOD nETWORKS NEW MAGAZINE LOOKED SO PROMISING. pARSLEY GOES WITH EVERYTHING BUT COMBINING TARRAGON, DILL, CILANTRO AND THE PARSLEY DID NOT WORK. tHE TOMATOES IN THE PICTURE LOOKED LIKE LOVELY SLOW ROASTED TOMATOES BUT THE RECIPE TURNS OUT NOTHIN MORE THAT A STEWED TOMATO. THERE ARE TO MANY GOOD RECIPES ON THE INTERNET FOR ROAST CHICKEN TO USE THIS ONE. MEL FROM BOSTON

The picture of this dish in the FoodNetwork magazine looked incredible, so I had to make it. I thought it came out good, but not "wow, that's great!" kind of good. I guess I was expecting something truly cosmic based on the quantity and variety of herbs the recipe calls for. I'll probably make this again, mainly because it's a 2-fer recipe - chicken and a side sauce. Mixing half of the herb paste with yogurt makes a very tasty tzatsiki-like sauce that is good with the chicken. I also made the bulgar wheat salad that was pictured on the same page and the sauce was great with that. The roasted tomatoes were the perfect accompaniment to the chicken and bulgar salad. I only wish I had thought to buy some pita to have with it all.
