I made this to go along with Ribeye steaks for Valentine's day. My hubby and I absolutely loved it. The barbecue sauce seems like it has a lot of vinegar when you are cooking it, but it balances out with the marinated shrimp so well.

We made this with the addition of about 1/4 cup of bourbon (added before the vinegar and cooked off. Really liked it, but next time will do less sugar, it was a little much for my taste!

I have made this recipe at least 6 times, and I'm making it again tonight! The sauce is simple but is better than any store-bought BBQ sauce. I like to make things homemade, yet this is quick and easy enough to have any night of the week. It is much easier to use the largest shrimp you can get, otherwise they cook so fast you can't keep up with basting and turning them on the grill.

This was the best shrimp we have ever had. I didn't have any of the fresh herbs so used dried. STILL FANTASTIC. The BBQ sauce is a definite MUST! My husband said the only thing wrong w/ it was that I didn't make enough. SO EASY AND DELICIOUS!

I didn't even get to the making the Barbeque sauce part (although the ingredients look delish. The marinade is sooooo good. It smells like something that would come straight out of a little Italian lady's kitchen. I use it on chicken too. Very good on the shrimp. I just marinade and grill. Leaving out the bbq sauce cuts out calories too. My BBQ loving husband didn't even miss the sauce since the marinade flavored the shrimp so well! I dont like lemon juice on seafood either, but this was awesome. Definately a keeper!!!

Make a double batch of the barbecue sauce. Yes, it is that good.

The shrimp were great but most of all I really enjoyed the BBQ sauce. It would be great on any meat. I made extra and plan on using it instead of store bought sauces.

This shrimp dish is so simple to make. Cooking them in the shells keeps them from turning to rubber. While peeling them to eat may be a turn off to a few, it is a delicious way of being able to lick your fingers and not having Miss Manners looking down her nose at you. The bbq sauce is a wonderful, basic sauce that has your guests begging for more. This is one of Emeril's better recipes.
