I soaked dried cranberries in orange juice and added them to the batter. I was perfect. I took it out of the oven early. Had it for a brunch and it was a hit.

Very tasty and smells great!!!! I would make this again for sure. I was looking on line for a recipe for applesauce bread and came across this one. Since it was a Paula Deen recipe I knew it would be worth making!! Love watching your cooking shows too!!

I just put this bread in the oven. It seemed really...thick for lack of a better word. I thought for sure I missed a wet ingredient but after double checking all is well. I just read the reviews and am nervous it's not going to be sweet enough. I guess we will see in 40-50 mins.

Yeah I'm a little bummed, I definitely overcooked it. Will try again tomorrow.

I saw it on the show today, and I rushed to my cabinets to check for the ingredients. I was in luck, it is baking now, and the kitchen smells so delicious. I can't wait to taste it. Thank you Paula.

Very moist, just sweet enough bread. The applesauce I used was sweetened, which may have helped out. I also used golden raisins and baked for only 50 min.

I changed the recipe up by adding 1/2 cup of white sugar in addition to the 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Also, instead of 2 cups of plain flour I used 1 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 cup plain unbleached flour. The result - DELISH!
