Easy to make and excellent to eat. Could be divided into six smaller patties as making 4 patties means they are pretty thick. We used turkey becuase we could not find ground chicken, and I thought that worked very well. We will cook these again!

My husband, nor I were impressed with this sausage. It was entirely too sweet and the flavors of the apple and maple just didn't mix right. We followed the recipe to a "T". Would definitely save the time and buy premade sausage next time. We were surprised, because this is the first Rachael Ray recipe we haven't loved... I had made a big batch and froze it because it sounded so delicious, but I had to throw it all out because neither of us wanted to ever eat it again...

I saw this recipe on the tv show and wonder why it doesn't include the chives she used on the show.

I made this for my picky 4 year old and he requested seconds! Even my hubby loves this one. I left out the apples, though.

We had these "breakfast sammies" for dinner served along with hashbrowns. My two very picky young daughters enjoyed these as well. These were awesome! Loved the flavor. I used a "gala" apple instead of McIntosh. I also used "ground chicken" instead of "chicken breast" because I bought it by accident. I think it made the sammies a little jucier. Next time I'll try the ground breast and see how they compare. However, using ground chicken was delicious! This one's a keeper!

MAKE A NOTE: Rachel used a sauted onion on tv but it was left out on the recipe. IMO it is a key ingredient. I sauted the onion AND apple together. My husband and I loved these sandwiches, very moist and very delious!!! I will make these again and again.

These went over big, especially on New Year's Day for slightly hungover friends! I used ground turkey instead of chicken, since my supermarket didn't have any. And I left out the poultry seasoning. The only complaint I got was that they were too big to finish, so maybe next time I will make 6 patties. I had someone say "I didn't know you could make sausage at home! That is awesome." All in all, these were a hit.
