I loved these, the fresh ginger gave it a nice zing and the leftovers were delicious the next morning on top of porridge.

I used just 1 apple and made it with a third of the ingredients and it was a great light dessert. The ginger was a fun taste with the apple and ice cream. Will make again.

This is truly one of the easiest dessert ideas yet -- something simple that you can make quickly for as many people as necessary. This recipe has saved me at several dinner parties when I didn't have time for elaborate pies, and even on late nights when my friends and I are craving something sweet.

The only change I've made is to cook the apples a bit longer (not more than five more minutes to make them a bit less crunchy, but that's a personal preference. My housemates have been arguing over the soft-vs-crunchy apple debate since I first introduced this recipe. Try it out with your friends, and enjoy!

Yummy and easy as pie to make. My picky eater six year old even loved this one!

This was delectable. The combination of warm apples, ice cream and whipped cream was out of this world. I added a dash of ground cloves for spiciness.

This is great on top of fresh belgian waffles...I made this and put it on top of belgian waffles ( yep...finally used that waffle maker.... and whipped up a sweetened whipped cream with a touch of rum . Then I dusted it with a little powdered sugar and fresh ground nutmeg...Looked beautiful, and my guests thought I was a gourmet genious. It took no time at all!!!
