What do I do for a crust if I don't have chocolate wafers or graham crackers?

I just made this for the first time and it was so yummy! After reading reviews, I made a few modifications. I used 10 oz. of chocolate instead of 8 oz. My store didn't have chocolate wafers, so I used chocolate graham cracker crumbs for the crust and it worked great! I lined the bottom of the pan with parchment paper. To prevent cracking, I baked it in a water bath and I baked it at 325 degrees. Enjoy!

i used about 10 oz. of milk and semi-sweet chocolate and it tasted fantastic. also, i highly recommend a water bath to prevent cracking.

Delicious recipe, and because I didn't have any semi-sweet chocolate I used Nesquick cocoa powder.. it worked nevertheless

I took this to a party and it was a huge hit. After reading other comments, i used a little extra chocolate - about 10 oz. instead of 8, and lined the bottom of the springform pan with parchment paper to make sure I could remove the cake with the crust intact. Served it with freshly whipped cream and strawberries. Totally awesome.

This cheesecake is absolutely decadent...a real rich treat. Serving sizes should be small though, this is a calorie bomb! instead of strawberries, i topped it with peanut butter and whipped cream folded together. the cake part wasnt amazing compared to the crust and PB cream though.

I always make sure I have enough strawberries to cover it in case it cracks (I've baked it with a pan of water and without, I get cracks half the time, either way.
I could not find the chocolate wafers anywhere (apparently Central FL grocers believe if it doesn't have frosting, a chocolate cookie shouldn't be on the shelf. I even asked. so I bought pre-made oreo pie crust, broke it up and measured it, then omitted the sugar from the crust part of the recipe, worked like a charm.
