    I made this for tonight's supper because I have a lot of Good Eats jerky and some leftover rice. This was simple to make and tasty to eat. It had the aroma of a dish I ordered at Olive Garden in the past. Here's the alterations I plan to try in the future: 1. use whole milk instead of heavy cream to cut down the fat, might add a little cornstarch to assist with thickening, 2. boil the jerky for a while to see if I can make it even more tender. Tonight I just brought a cup of water to boil in the microwave and then added the jerky to it and let it sit for about 15 minutes while I was working the onions, green pepper, etc. Twice I ran the microwave for an additional 15 seconds just to keep it hot. Next time I'll boil the jerky on the stove to see how much moisture it can take in and how tender it can get. All in all, this was a very tasty recipe. Even my wife who is not really an Alton fan said we've got a good one here. Oh, this only made enough to feed two of us so plan accordingly.

    I like to make jerky I also would lke to lurn more flavers for jerky making.

    This recipe is outstanding. I couldn't believe how good it was. It is easy to prepare and everyone love it. Make more so you can have some leftovers.

    Though most people might think jerky in tomato sauce would be weird to say the least, it is actually quite tasty and not at all as chewy as you may be thinking.
