    This is a great recipe, and I've tried a lot of them! I have always wanted to make great fried chicken and now... I do! Everyone loved this chicken! The only problem was that I quickly ran out and hardly got to taste any. Next time, I'll make more chicken.

    I have always thought that cooking is an important skill for a woman, and a "good cook" should have a basic repetoire of recipies that show off that skill. Perfect southern fried chicken should definitely be on that list, but it was always lacking for me.. until now! Thank You Paula, you've made me a great cook!! This is incredible!! Beautiful and tasty. I can't wait to show it off for company!

    This was my first attempt at fried chicken and I was scared. I loved the recipe because there was no buttermilk involved, just basic ingredients. I knew it was a success when my husband said,"We should have this at least once a month" He doesn't say that about all the food I cook. So thank you so much Paula. We loved it!!!

    I guess it must be because I am not from the south....this recipe was too greasy for myself. My family loved the spices though and it was good for my first try cooking fried chicken

    This was the best Fried Chicken I have ever had. My family is still talking about it. I have never been disappointed with anything from Paula's kitchen. I can not wait for the day I am able to get to Georgia and eat at her family restaurant.

    This was my first attempt at fried chicken and I will never go to another recipe. I think the simple house seasoning actually gave more spice to the chicken than the hot sauce. They puffed up nicely and were still crispy after sitting over night in the fridge in a ziplock bag! They were even better cold the next morning!

    I followed this recipe exactly last night, and it was just average. My boyfriend, who loves everything I cook, was even underwhelmed. It's the only recipe of Paula's that didn't go over big, so I am thinking I must have missed something.... Any ideas??
