    These are the best! I have half of my home town making these. For those of you who think they are a bit 'dry' add another 1/3 cup shortening, I use butter flavored Crisco. And don't over stir or over cook. Put the butter on in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Keep trying, they are so worth the comments from your friends and guests.

    THIS RECIPE IS OH SO GOOD BUT ADDICTING. MAKES ME FEEL GUILTY EATING SO MANY BUT SO WORTH ALL IN THE SAME!!! I USED COLD BUTTER INSTEAD OF SHORTENING. I GOT SUM IN THE OVEN..

    I made these for thanksgiving and was quite disappointed. They came out very dry. Normally I love Ms Deen's recipes but not this one.
