Was easy and very tasty. Had to make substitutions for what I had in pantry: rice wine with rice wine vinegar, plum ume sauce instead of oyster sauce and reduced amount of oil. Still delicious.

This was very tasty! Just like you'd get in your favorite Chinese restaurant. Like another reviewer said, I used less vegetable oil to cook the Ginger mix and the meat. Used dry sherry instead of the mirin. I also cooked some green and red pepper with the onions and some spinach and kale with the bok choy. Would definitely make this again.

This is a good recipe, not amazing... I substituted red pepper flakes for the dried chile peppers. I did use the bok choy which was my first time cooking with this, I must say it is a very different texture and is great with the beef. It is a very spicy dish and would hit the spot for someone looking for a quick, spicy meal.
I did not like all of the oil. I tasted it right after making the dish and it seemed to be waaaayyy to oily. I absolutely hate that taste and feeling in my mouth. However, I let it sit overnight and took it to work for lunch the next day, and it was much, much better.
Very fragrant and flavorful however the next time I make this, I will definitely cut down on the oils used.

Very good and versatile. Used snap peas, bean sprouts, and red, yellow, and orange bell peppers... doubled the sauce and added extra garlic and sugar, used sherry and added 1 Tbsp each Mirin, rice vinegar and soy sauce and added 3 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds for extra flavor. It would be easy to substitute whatever beef cut and veges you have on hand. Spicy and delicious.

LET ME JUST SAY "AMAZING"! HUSBAND AND KIDS RAVED ABOUT IT! DEFINITELY STORING THIS RECIPE IN MY FILES!

Agreed, expensive to get started but then you have the ingredients to make it again. Great flavor and didn't even know I liked bok choy until I made this.
Added some frozen stir fry veggies too.

A lot of ingredients, a lot of clean-up afterwards but definately worth it! Even my pickiest son cleaned his plate & actually asked for more. It's a keeper!
