You might want someone to look at your oven. Sounds to me like it had a defect or some loose wringing. If you have a gas stove, you might want to make sure you don't have a gas leak. I have baked things in the oven that contained alcohol and never experienced any explosions. To include this recipe. Which is awesome.

These were very easy to make and were delicious! There were no problems with explosions or anything like that. We served them with some whipped cream and it was just wonderful. Would also be good with ice cream. Will be making these often.

I put the pears in the oven and within 5 minutes the oven door popped oven due to an explosion in the oven from the brandy. Why did this happen?
