I made these cookies for the holidays (drop version to hand out as part of my cookie gift basket. They proved to be rich and yummy, and I have received multiple requests for this recipe from my less than computer saavy family members.

I liked the taste of these cookies a lot. The dough was easy to make, but the dough was to dry I couldnt roll it into a log without it crumbling and had to knead the dough to get the right consistancy. Anyway my whole family loved them and I will make these again.

Every year, we try new sugar cookie recipes and we throw out the recipe as soon as we bake them, they are usually either hard to make or they taste gross. This is the 1st year, that I'll save the recipe forever. I didn't have an orange, so I tried to grate a Clementine, it didn't really work out, so we made them without zest, and they were great.

I found these cookies to be extremely delicious. The orange zest really left a good flavor in the cookie. My only complaint was the hardness of the dough after leaving it in the refridge to do my cut-out cookies. I had a hard time rolling out the disks after they were in the fridge. Once they thawed a little bit it was fine. I will definitely be making these cookies again.

The bake time is way off.I burned the first batch.MY oven is right on for temp and this recipe calls for pre heating oven for 30 minutes?I say pre heat for 10 min and bake for 6 min.Flavor of cookie is very good.
