What a great basic recipie! So I substituted amaretto and chopped dried apricots and orange zest; chopped cherries with Stroh's Rum and lemon zest, Orange zest with Grand Marinier and chopped orange peel and chopped apricots. The only thing stopping us is the imagination....Vanilla wafer cookies worked just as well, and the flavors layered...wonderful! All in all it's a great basic recipie, easy fun and offers so many options....thanks!

These were a breeze to make and they turned out great. I substituted Kahlua for the brandy. They are like chocolate truffles!
