I made them twice, following to a "t" - and burned both batches even after turning oven down for the second. I can't understand it - but I'm not trying it a 3rd time.

I make mine in 1/2" balls. Makes around 48 cookies. I love the bite size cookie. I'm making this again, this time for my son's kindergarten Christmas party, in little sealed bags. A must try recipe!!!

I have to say that I'm a big fan of Paula Deen. I call her the Dolly Parton of Southern Cooking! She had that down home honest approach to cooking that makes her compelety endearing and once again she gave us a winner with these Mexican Wedding Cookies. I made them for Thanksgiving and I couldn't keep the plate filled. It makes a lot of cookies and I didn't bother to shape mine into crescents. I just rolled them in little balls and they were melt in your mouth delicious. Don't skimp on these cookies. Use REAL butter and pecans, not walnuts, and your family and friends will reward you for the effort...they'll think you are the greatest cookie maker in town!
