Best chocolate cake I ever made. Wanted to turn it up a bit, so I added a tablespoon of cayenne pepper to the chocolate/coffee mixture during the melting process. Gives it a touch of gourmet heat. I wasn't expecting the texture of the cake to be so deliciously dense. I baked it in a 100 year old bundt pan, maybe that's the secret to the cake's success!

This recipe is nothing like the title! It doesnt even taste like chocolate cake. It is very simple to make but i was very disappointed in the result. Has a heavy coffee taste and not at all enough chocolate.

This is a very delicious chocolate cake, quick, easy to make, with a twist. The spices and raisins give it a very rich flavor that just adds to the also rich chocolate flavor. It comes out best baked in a bundt pan.

This is a great cake, moist with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg which I love. Next time I'm going to up the spices a smidgeon and omit the raisins. This is a winner!

This cake is excellent! Only had 1 3/4 cups of dark brown sugar, so I added 1/4 cup of light and it turned out excellent, very moist and perfect blend of spices for an out of the oridinary chocolate cake. If you like the flavor of chocolate but want to try something different you simply must try this. You wont be sorry.

My sister has nut allergies, so I left out the nuts - but it still turned out AMAZING. Easy to make, as well. This one has a permanent place in my recipe book.

I omitted the raisins, served with ice cream while still a little warm. EXCELLENT.
