I'm not sure why alot of people complained about the almond extract. I actually put 1/2 tsp. extra in the glaze and it was just right. Anyway ,I loved the recipe and so did my fiance', since cresent rolls are a staple for him. So I'm happy to have another use for them.

My family raves about these little bite size snacks. No one can eat just one. My bunch isn't crazy about almonds so I substituted pecans and used vanilla flavoring. They were awesome. They have become a holiday must and a frequent request.

I took the good advice from other reviewers and didn't use a full teaspoon of almond extract. I put in a small capfull of vanilla extract (because I don't like almond flavoring and it was almost too overpowering. If you use a full teaspoon of extract you have to add more cream cheese or it will taste gross. I also added some cinammon for more flavor and it turned out great. This is a wonderful dish for breakfast, dessert, or late night snack. Deeeelish!

My (almost 5 y.o. twin girls and 2 1/2 y.o. son love to "help" me in the kitchen and this was perfect for that. They helped me spread the filling, roll the cresents, brush the egg, and dip them in the almonds (much better than sprinkling them. Of course, their favorite part was licking the beaters and the bowl!! Big hit, they didn't last a day. :D

These were so good! I subbed vanilla for the almond extract and pecans for the almonds. I can't wait to make these again!

The canned crescent roll dough ALWAYS leads to a really good product. The danish are soooo tasty, the variations are endless. I even turned them from sweet into savory, using garden vegetable cream cheese and then brushing the top (before baking with a little olive oil, and sprinkled with a dash of grated parm cheese & garlic powder. Great hors d'oeuvre!!!
