I have made this recipe several times, and it is truly a winner! I add cilantro and Tabasco for a little spice. I have also used garlic and jalapeno stuffed olives. Great for summer gatherings.

If you love this recipe as I do, try it with orzo instead of rice. It is actually better. i would give the orzo version ten stars if I could. Also, for parties, serve in marguerita glasses. I put a cherry tomato or green olive in the indented portion of the glass then mimic a shrimp cocktail look with shredded lettuce base and a large scoop of the salad. Place one whole shrimp on top .

Paula's recipe is Fabulous! When I have time, before cooking minute rice, I saute some onion, celery and a bay leaf, salt/pep, then cook rice as usual before adding to shrimp. Also add a little celery & chopped fresh parsley into the dish! Superb!

I love love love this recipe! I make it all the time for people, its always a hit. I hate green olives and am not a big shrimp eater but put the 2 together and its awesome! Great combination. I disagree with the bland thing... How could it be... and as far as people saying its terrible... Wow... I would hate to see what people think is good. The only thing I do to mine is I use low sodium Old Bay or if all I have is regular I dont use as much only bc of High BP in the family other then that Its GREAT!

Great recipe, but I added more rice, green beans, and marinated artichokes to make it even better!
