So far I've done this cake three times and everytime its a winner. It has left people craving for more...including a very pregnant co-worker. The perfect complimentary frosting "Flame". This one will surely make it a perfect ending to dinner with family and friends - who dare to spice up their life! :

this cake was good, however I didn't find it to be exceptional. The recipe reminded me of old Martha Stewart's recipes in which many of the ingredients called for made the end product expensive, but not distinctly different from recipes where cheaper ingredients were used,or could be omitted entirely for lack of its contribution to the final product.

I've made this cake over and over and STILL think it is the best one of all! It is always moist, with the freshest flavor. Everyone beams when they find I am serving this. Warren, I've tried meeting you in person at your shop in D.C. on my visit up there, but I always miss you. I just wanted to tell you in person how much I've enjoyed your recipes, and especiall this one. Thanks so much for sharing.

Tasty. But I thought with the large list of ingredients, it would have a much more robust combination of flavors. I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't make it again.

Cayenne pepper overpowered the cake.
Cake had slight citrus flavor from the mango puree. Rum and Tequilla were superfluous since you could not discern either flavor. Very disappointing!

Being a born & bred a southerner this was just what I would expect a pound cake to be; moist and heavy and oh so delicious. Only reason that I can see for it to be labeled as "Medium" must be because of the quantity of ingredients but it's was worth every one. Totally blew the crowd away. Thanks!!!

This cake was delicious and my friends were asking for the recipe and/or for me to bake another as they were eating this one.
Also, I prefer the weight measurements to cups. I've realized with this precise way of measuring my baking is getting more foolproof and I have more confidence to try anything. Love your show and Thxs!.

I've bought your Sassy pound cake and crunchy feet from Cake Love and Love Cafe - and this is the most amazing cake EVER (ok, My Downfall is pretty amazing too, but this always gets the best reviews! I was thrilled to see you making this on your show b/c I knew the recipe would be here and I can't wait to try this on my own. I would like to have the recipe for your orange buttercream too... but I guess I'll just have to experiment!
