Awesome! I used fresh ground peanut butter from Whole Foods, half oatmeal and half 100 percent fiber cereal and added 1/4 cup each chia and hemp seeds too.

Super yummy. I cut them into about 18 "bars" and did the math. They are about 250 calories per bar but oh so tasty.

Just a warning - if you use a dark baking sheet to toast the oats and nuts, 20 minutes is too long. If I had let them go the full final 5 mintues, it would have burnt. Otherwise, these are yummy!

These were great! I don't like raisins so I substituted chopped dates for the raisins. My husband couldn't understand why I was making granola bars when you can just buy them at the store, so I didn't expect him to eat any, but he sure liked them, and ate at least half of them!

Love the pumpkin & sunflower seeds in this recipe. Great texture! I found it a little time consuming to make, but well worth it when you taste the finished product. I will definitely make them again.

I decided to make this as an alternative to my daily trip to the office vending machine. It's so much tastier and easy to make. However, I made one small addition that I think goes a long way. I added a handful of chocolate chips when pulling the brown sugar mixture off the stove. They melted quickly and then blended into the granola for pressing. Yum!

I have been trying several different granola bar recipes and this one is really good. As others have found, they can be easily "tweaked" to your preferences. The one thing that I find I have added to ALL of the recipes I have tried comes from Sunny Anderson's Happy Trails Granola. She beats 2 egg whites and tosses into oat mixture just before baking. The egg whites act as a low-cal binder which helps hold the granola together and puts a really nice "crisp" on the whole shebang! Try it-I'm sure you'll agree!

I love this recipe! I added 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips in with the peanut butter, and needed just a tad more corn syrup. It turned out WONDERFUL!!!

I made these for my husband and I ended up eating them and I dont even like granola bars! They are fabulous! I used 1 cup of chocolate chips after the nuts and oats were cooled off. I poured the hot peanut butter, corn syrup mixture over the oats and nuts and the chocolate chips melted giving the granola bars a very nice peanut butter and chocolate flavor...

    Emeril never disappoints!

I've tried a lot of granola bar recipes and have liked them all...but this one is the best by far and is now my Go-To granola bar recipe. It just doesn't get any better than this one...chewey and full of flavor. The only thing I do differently, is use Agave Nectar instead of corn syrup...absolutely delicious!!!
