I just made this soup and I must say that I am impressed. I added a little more garlic than was called for, as well as some extra red pepper. All in all a great soup. I will definitely keep this recipe on hand for those cold winter nights that will be here shortly

I made this soup during thanksgiving weekend a few years ago and it turned out really well. It's a little like egg drop soup only you don't put the eggs in and shred them in the broth. A little suggestion for some of you who want to try this recipe, if you think that maybe 1/2 cup of chopped fresh cilantro leaves is too strong, I would use 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro leaves and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley. But anyway, this is a great soup recipe.

As I was preparing the soup, I was having my doubts, but it turned out beautifully.
    My guests were thrilled.

We ran to the kitchen and made it right after watching the show because we had all the ingrediants and even a little old baugette. It was quick and eaasy and just delicious. Took the left overs to work and everyone had to have the recipe.

I double the Garlic and red pepper. I use Garlic croutons that I buy at Sams Club for the bread. Even my grandkids love it.
