I made this for Christmas morning breakfast and it was a hit.

I found the balance of garlic, onion and spinach to work very nicely. I did not have a 3 qt. baking dish as the recipe calls for, but a larger 4.8 qt. dish. I compensated by using slightly more bread and cheese (although only a little more of each. This turned out fine as the egg-bread consistency was fluffy and not overdone.

I would definitely recommend this recipe.

Looked beautiful but needed more favor. I will add more veggies and seasoning next time.

After reading the reviews on this recipe, I made some revisions. I added extra garlic (1 clove extra and extra onion. (1 large onion instead of a small one I also added along with the fresh grated parmesan, a five cheese Italian blend from Sargento. I added 1/4 cup per layer. I used 5 ounces of pancetta along with 2 slices of bacon. The bread I used was ciabatta. This was very good the first time I made it. (no changes the first timeThe sencond time with these changes made it WONDERFUL. To the people who called this dish, "Too Eggy"....what did you expect from a dish that calls for 10 eggs and is called a 'strata'??? How dumb are people?

Quick, easy, filling and delicious. I am a busy mom of 3 little boys and always on the run. I made a tray of this and heated it up all week as I was running out the door.

This dish was easy to put together and smelled and tasted fantastic. Like a savory version of bread pudding, the top is crunchy but the texture inside is a little soft.

Flavor was a bit off for me...Next time i think instead of spinach i am going to use a green veggie of some sort and ALOT more cheese.

This makes a very rich sauce. Yummy and good. My 6 year old didn't like it, but he is picky.

I made this for a family brunch. It was a big success. I watched Giada make this and used what I thought was the amount of parmesan she used on TV...which I thought was at least a cup. The parmesano reggiano was wonderful and the strata wasn't bad either although I would probably use bacon instead of pancetta.
