I didn't use the pomegranate seed, because it was not in season. But it was SO good! Just serving is actually not that much despite the two bottle of wine.

This is a winner! Easily the most balanced, tastiest sangria I've ever had. Didn't have pomegranate juice or blackberries once so I just left them out; it was still superb. This recipe has made me the Sangria Queen among all our friends -- I'm expected to make it for every get-together now. This is a great use for cheap-ish red wine...

This is an amazing recipe. I had doubled the recipe for a recent house warming party and this was the biggest hit of the night. (Even over my top shelf alcohol cabinet. I personally don't like red wine, but I had a few glasses of this myself. I will definitely be making this again, but next time I'll triple the recipe!! Thanks Bobby!

An excellent summer wine for the hot weather, and I got lots of great comments from my party guests. Not too tart, not too sweet. Fruity but not overpowering. I peeled the oranges so as not to sour the sangria with the oils from the peels. Also made it easier to drink without the hassle of the orange rinds. I transported the sangria to my party in two 1 gallon freezer bags inside a cooler. Easy to transfer the to punch bowl.

I made this sangria for Christmas eve and it was a huge hit! I hated to throw away all of that yummy fruit so i took out the oranges and pureed the rest of the fruit in a blender. I transferred the puree to a sauce pan and simmered it on low until it reduced...ohh the house smelled wonderful! I ran the sauce through a strainer to get rid of the blackberry seeds and then poured the sauce onto slices of pork tenderloin. Another huge hit! Delicious and it made me feel better about not wasting the fruit! So worth the effort!

Seriously THE best red wine sangria recipe that I have ever tried. My fiance and I made it for our engagement party. We doubled the recipe, substituted pom seeds for raspberries, maybe added a little more brandy, and its AMAZING!!!

This was the perfect sangria; made a triple batch. I just added two liters of tonic water. Was gone by the end of the night.
