Very good and very easly to play with. We made another version using a light beer instead of the stock and evaporated milk instead of the cream-- delicious-- a good blue cheese instead of a lot of the chedder, also delicious. Jalapenos instead of pimentos..... the list goes on and my kids love it so it's a win.

This was amazing! Add ham or bacon pieces for more flavor! Also, hollow out a sourdough bread bow, brush with butter, sprinkle garlic salt on top and bake til golden brown, serve soup in bread bowl! MMMmmmmm....................

I can't believe something so good is so easy. Used this when having left-overs for dinner and it became the star. I can't wait to try other variations like adding corn for one and shrimp seasoned with my favorite seafood seasoning blend for another.

This soup was so YUMMY! I added Broccoli too because I was in the mood for Broccoli Cheese Soup! We also doubled the cheeese! The whole family loved it! The only thing I would say is that if you are having this as the main course it definitely will not feed 4. But if having as a soup/sandwich type meal...Its perfect!

Delicious! I felt it needed almost twice as much cheese, and it takes more than 10 minutes to thicken, but the flavors are just right and it's super easy.

So DELICIOUS! Sooo easy to prepare, it's deceptive that it would be so good. I have tried hundreds of FN recipes and this is easily one of the best I have tried! Thanks Paula!

I just made this for lunch an it was great! My wife who hates cheese soup even loves it. We also think it will make a great base for Broccoli soup.

I'm making this for a shower tomorrow and have been attempting to quadruple the recipe for our Bread bowls (but I cheated a bit I ordered 54 bread bowls from can I say the store? Maybe not, but anyway for less than $20.WONDERFUL SHORT CUT and they are so big and so good... okay so now we have 53. Here's for a big pot. I chopped 3 small onions (baseball size, and because I couldn't find fresh pimento I just added one bottle (drained. I sauteed them together in 12TBL of butter, then added 1 cup of flour, cooked the flour a bit, a couple of minutes so you don't get the raw flour taste, then added 8 cups of chicken stock and 8 cups of cream, ( I didn't have enough cream so I used milk but then had to make a roux to thicken so use 8 cups of cream I also added more cheese like others suggested, I shredded 4 LG chicken breasts to give it some stick-to-the-ribs manly texture (if we have leftovers we all have deer hunters that will come home hungry! and then a pinch or two of cayenne.
