I made this last year for our company luncheon and our family thanksgiving. This year I was asked to make it again for both occasions, and the request is already in for next year?s luncheon.

It is the best tasting recipe you will find for county green beans. I have used it with Green Beans, Italian and Pole frozen beans and it is just as wonderful.
    Enjoy

Paula..believe it or not, my husband had never had green beans and potatoes? Anyway, made your recipe but added in chunks of ham, too. He loved it. He ate 3 servings and asked me to make it for his bachelor brother who eats dinner with us every sunday after football. I have been making these all my life, but tried yours and loved em, yummy.

I altered this slightly, by using beef bacon, since I don't eat pork......it was DELICIOUS!

Excellent - I do not care for the potatoes but the beans are scrumptious, but take a little time and "be with it".

I made this for a family reunion yesterday and it was a big hit. It seems to me that we used to have green beans prepared this way at Wednesday night church suppers when we were growing up, but I had forgotten about it until seeing Paula cook them up recently. The church ladies would be proud! Thanks, Paula!

This dish is easy and pleasing. Even picky eaters liked it. It's nearly a meal in itself, or just have a meat with it. REALLY GOOD!
