I prepared this dish in my apartment very simple and little cookware needed. The dish turned out great!

this is your BASIC brussel sprout. i "fancy" it up
with what i had in paris. mix some honey mustard
with heavy cream and douse. DIVINE. i never liked b-s
before. now, i adore them. but, pick the smallest ones
you can find.

Yum!! I used to eat brussels sprouts once a year. But now we eat them as often as corn or green beans!! My 10 and 12 year old boys LOVE this recipe and enjoy making this dish as their part of the meal. They totally enjoy the skewering and roasting. They also love the science and silliness of Good Eats! They call Alton Brown the "Bill Nye of Cooking Science."
Also Alton Brown is a totally cute geek, I could have dated him!!

I followed this recipe to the letter, and almost had to throw away my pan after cooking. Totally burned to a crisp. ... Maybe my stove settings are off ... next time, I'll just steam them.

I hadn't had brussels sprouts since I was a kid. I never knew what I was missing. They came out tender and delicious! Thanks Alton

My mother used to cook brussel sprouts and I loved them but I could never figure out how to get them to turn out tender like hers...until now! These were so easy and quick, tender and tasty! Thank you Alton! Will be making these often!

My last memory of attempting to eat brussels sprouts was when I was 6 or 7 and my older sister was home from college. Our parents asked her to be an example for her two younger sisters and lets just say she was less than convincing. Brussels sprouts just came into season here and I bought some from our local market deciding to give them a second chance. This recipe is so perfectly simple and delicious, my big sister MIGHT be willing to give them a second chance too. Thank you!
