I am not an apple fan and have never made a crisp. A friend was in from out of town for the holiday and asked for one so I whipped this up Thanksgiving morning. Everyone loved it ! Especially the crisp part.

Very good and exteremly easy to make. Although I did add 15 minutes more to the cooking time. Very good though and as for ingredients I wouldn't change a thing. thanks

This is by far the easiest Apple Crisp recipe I've tried. And it turned out perfectly every time. My friends rave about this recipe every time I serve it! It has not become my special dish!

The apples are so tender when you get out of the oven and may I add that serveing it hot with some Ice cream or something in that nature is the best way to eat it

I follow exactly this recipe and come out great!! Is very easy to make and my family love the natural fruity flavor. In the show Emeril stir in a little bowl the sugar and lemon and than added to the recipe. He suggest that we can add more sugar, depend of the sweetness we like. My family think need more sugar, but said is better not to sweet because is perfect like this with the ice cream.

I made this recipe to a tee but ws way too dry....After trying a piece, I added about a cup of milk, which was too little, and baked it another 35min. and it turned out better because the oatmeal was cooked and the apples soft. If I ever do it again, I'll cook the oatmeal acccording to directions , add the other ingredients and then bake it.

This is an easy and quick recipe for a little sweetness on the table, especially if you added too much spice to your Gumbo!

Thank you Olga, this was very good. Your son did you proud. I kicked it up a notch by adding dried cherries and golden raisens soaked in brandy. Next time, i'm adding cheese to the topping.

I am not sure where the prep time came from. Maybe if one has a sous chef to help with cutting up of the apples then I could see the prep time. In a real world here that was the longest part of the prep time.
Other than that the recipe was excellent, the flavor was great.
