These were really good! I am not a refried bean fan, but I was making pork brisket tacos and needed a side dish. This recipe is excellent and I learned about Sazon! Added it to my pork, too. Delicious.

This is it! These refried beans are delicious and so easy to whip together. After years of using caned refried beans and adding moisture in one form or another, I can say I will never use caned refried beans again! Another home run Sunny, thank you! Happy Cooking :

Great recipe. So simple. I use olive oil instead of vegetable oil. We use this to make loaded nachos and many other dishes.

Very good and simple. I forgot to add the lime, but it was still delish. I used on tostadas with chorizo.

They were so yummy. I was so busy "tasting", before I knew it, there was hardly enough beans left to put on my quasadillas. ( I was so mad I only had 1 can of beans in my pantry. Amazing. Easy. delicious. After driving around and finding any refried beans, i decided to make my own. searched on fn and Sunny's came up. The flavor added by the lime was rediculously GOOOOOOOOD.
On another note, you haters really need to learn to follow that golden rule and "keep your mouth shut if you have nothing nice/good to say."
Sunny, you keep on shining girl. Don't let em' get you down.

Several years ago I had the best beans of my life in Honduras while vacationing but hadn't been able to find any like it since. These beans were even better!!!
I couldn't find the Goya Sazon at my grocery store so I mixed equal parts of Cumin, Coriandar, garlic (fresh, not powder, and a little achiote.
Very very yummy. not typical mexican, these are central american style. much healthier.

This side dish is so good! I made it the first time and I think I was rushed, so it was just ok. I made it last night and my husband, guests and myself were all blown away. It was fantastic!!! I only added the juice of 1/2 a lime. I felt like a whole would be too much. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a yummy mexican side!!

These are the best refried beans we've ever tasted and SO EASY!!! I questioned the lime, but the lime really kicked up the flavor. We will make these over and over. Thank you Sunny!

My husband is Mexican and for the 7 years we have been married i try time and time again to make yummy flavorful mexican dishes..sometimes they are great sometimes not so great...since i am an Italian girl. Once i made this it was all over..these are the best beans ever. My hubby loves them, his family loves them, our 2 year old son loves them..and all our friends do to. When we had my husbands best friend come to visit I made these with some skirt steak and green rice and the boys were raving about it...how a white girl could make such amazing refried beans!!!! I have made them over a dozen times and they are oh so good..i follow the recipe and make sure to add the lime at the end..it gives it that great kick...THANKS sunny....i love all your dishes so far..but your beans are the bomb!!!!
