I have always enjoyed the traditional sangria, and my drink of choice is a Prosecco - so I had to try this - and just loved it. It would be a great punch for a larger group. This is so refreshing and luscious - great recipe!

Thank you for this Sangria recipe. I used Asti Sparkling Wine by Gallo and Simple Syrup for a sweeter taste. This is the closest recipe to the Cava Sangria we had in Barcelona, Spain. Yummm...

This drink was refreshing, light and tasty. Great change from red sangria. Guests loved it and asked what it was, as it did not look like the standard sangria. Just adjust amount of tequila to suit your tastes. It has become a party favorite at our home.

Loved it, but you do need to go easy on the Tequila and as far as rebs92_11938283 questioning Sunny's knowledge: Tequila is a blue-agave-based spirit made "primarily" in the area surrounding the city of "Tequila"-(thus its name, which is in the western MEXICAN STATE of JALISCO. Check your geography!

I made this after watching Sunny's show yesterday and it was awesome! I have never had much luck making a good Sangria but this was just the best drink to sit with out in the sun by the pool. It isn't sweet: it's a dry cocktail which is just what I prefer as I don't like sugary sweet drinks (Giada's cranberry granita is a favorite though!. So, this was a really refreshing change, so pleasant. Also, be careful with the Tequila; you could put half as much liquor in this and have the same result...let's face it, everybody loves to drink but no one likes the after effects!! I would recommend adding lots of ice if you use the full cup of tequila! This is a great cocktail!

I really enjoyed this recipe. I substituted the wine with an apple flavored sparkling wine (it was what I had on hand. I didn't have raspberries or limes, so I used sliced blood red oranges and sliced lemons. It was very sweet with a hint of tequila flavor. This is a fun recipe to play around with.

We agree that the original recipe yields a very bitter drink. We recommend leaving out the lemon lime soda (the proscceco provides enough fizz and add in 1/2 cup of simple syrup. We used frozen blackberries instead of the raspberries because it is what we had on hand. We dropped a few into each glass before pouring.

Thought it was too bitter, could have been the tequila. This can be a very pricey drink.
