MY HUSBAND IS A TRUE LOVER OF RICE PUDDING, HIS MOTHER USE TO MAKE IT ALL THE TIME FOR HIM. I HONESTLY THOUGHT BUYING IT IN A PACKAGE WOULD TASTE LIKE HIS MOM'S UNTIL I MADE THIS RECIPE. I ALMOST FAINTED WHEN HE TOLD ME THIS RECIPE TASTE BETTER THAN HIS MOTHER'S.
THANKS INA, MY MOTHER-IN-LAW HAS FINALLY MET HER MATCH, AND ITS ALL DUE TO YOU & THIS RECIPE.
A TRUE BELIEVER OF YOUR SHOW & COOKBOOKS!!!!

This rice pudding recipe is not your typical "baked" rice pudding. This version results in a very creamy texture. I doubled the amount rum and raisins. I also used vanilla rum which made it more flavorful. At the end, I sprinkled nutmeg in the mixture. Since I prefer my rice pudding warm, I ate some soon after it was cooked. I will definitely use this recipe again. Good job, Ina!

This was the first time I ever made this. I was not a fan of rice pudding but I made it for my husband and now I am a fan. It was so rich and tasty. I would add more raisins and rum, I didn't taste the rum very much. It also made so much for just the two of us so I am having friends over to share. Thanks Ina!

Great recipe! Actually in Brazil we make that a lot, but we do not use half-and-half, which give a extraordinary touch to this recipe

I added more raisins and I think I'll let them soak for a bit longer in the rum as I couldn't really taste the rum. It's very good warm or cold.
