This was a great salad for a buffet. The salad is fresh and light, crunchy and fulling. Even kids liked this recipe. I will make this again for a pot luck or family gathering as an alternative to chicken or beef.

I made this recipe without the shrimp (I'm allergic to them unfortunately. I subtituted imitation crabmeat ("sealegs". It was still good. The next time that I make this, I am contemplating using salmon or some other type of fish.

Every time I make this, I come into the Food Network site to "e-mail a friend" because everyone always wants the recipe. It really is just delicious! I sent out two e-mails today!

As a huge seafood fan (especially of scallops I just had to try this the same day I saw it featured on Ina's show. I've made it 3 times since, and am amazed at how fabulous it is. I've tried dozens of different shellfish recipes, and it seems to me the simpler it is and the fewer ingredients it calls for, the better the final result. This is absolutely true of this recipe!! I just may give up experimenting with other scallop recipe, as I can't imagine one better than this. Thanks,Ina. Your departure into cooking was the nuclear industry's loss, but was a huge win for fans of your show like me!!

I made this without the mussells and just used more shrimp and scallops. Be very careful not to overcook the seafood in the water, otherwise it becomes rubber. I cooked it even less time than the recipe and it was perfect.
I let the dish sit overnight in Tupperware and brought it to the beach for the three of use the next day.
Wonderful. My friend raved. We paired it with a pinot grigio and it was fabulous. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

This was a terrific seafood salad. The seafood prep was simple but yeilded a favorful result. For the person who had "mushy, salty" seafood, you probably got some shrimp and scallops that were not fresh and had been pre-salted by the seller.

This was excellent! Easy to make and a big hit at my dinner party. Served the left-overs the next night over spaghetti and that was excellent too.
