Very good. I made some modifications. I added some white potatoes just to see what it would taste like, still very good. It was a little sweet so, if you serve with something with a sweet sauce it will be okay but otherwise I would cut down the sugar. I also added Tarragon-I don't know why, about 1 teaspoon worth, it was tasty. I think I will be adding this to Thanksgiving this year!

This recipe is awesome. My husband thought this was (sweetened mashed potatoes with cheese. This was the first time we've eaten parsnips. Next time, I'll have to reduce the amount of sugar.

This had great flavor and so easy. I used cream cheese instead of mascarpone and it tasted great and creamy.

What a great change! I added potatoes to the parsnips and added some sour cream when I mixed up. Served at a dinner party and it was a huge hit. Thanks

We had this at a friend's house, but he grilled up some portobella mushrooms and then topped them with the smashed parsnips, grilled a couple of more minutes..... it was great!!!!

Thought this was a good dish but nothing that I would personally make again. Was easy to make but just didn't do it for me flavor wise. Fed at a family dinner and many didn't care for it. Disappointed in the results really considering it had such good reviews.

I made this for company last night, and everyone loved it. It was the hit of the party. I definitely will make it again (especially since it was so easy. My only complaint is that they were on the verge of being too sweet. I used more parsnips than the recipe called for because I was worried that a pound wouldn't be enough for four (it wouldn't have been, as it turns out, but I did not increase the sugar--and still, it was rather on the sweet side. I agree with the poster who said cutting back on the sugar is a good idea--next time I will. Other than that, I was really impressed. I didn't mash the parsnips completely, left them on the chunky side, and they were great.

I have never had parsnips before . I tryed this side dish with meatloaf and the spices from the meatloaf and the smooth creamy sweet taste of the parsnips worked well together . I will be making this dish for my upcoming dinner party, Thanks ........
