Although I made a few changes in ingredients these are by far the best cookies I have made. Mahalo Nui Loa Lisa

Ok, I just made these this week and I have NO IDEA how anyone can say these are less than super yummy cookies. They seriously need to have their taste buds examined. I saw Lisa make these on the show and every since she described what was in the recipe, I've been dying to try them. I was so delighted to find the recipe for them on here! I made them this week as I was having my cousin and her husband over from out of town. I halved the recipe which made about or a little over 20 good sized cookies, probably a little bigger than what she recommended in the recipe. They were absolutely amazing. All of us could not stop eating them, they were so good. There is the just a suggestion of coffee flavor, there were no crunchy granules while eating as somebody said they experienced. I'm thinking "somebody" must have undercooked them or did something wrong. They do take about the full 12-13 mins for cooked perfection, depending on how big you make them, but I start checking them at 9-10 ,mins. Way to go Lisa!! By the way, I tasted your cupcake dessert at TGI Fridays and they were awesome too!!

This recipe made a large quantity - more than what I was expecting. They were good and somewhat addicting. I used everything exactly according to recipe, including freshly ground espresso. Very strange combo of ingredients, but still good. But not good enough to make again, unfortunately. And this was the recipe that won??

I made this recipe as soon as I saw it on The Ultimate Recipe Showdown. I used instant expresso powder, extra fine. I thought it was too much. Also, I sub'd the syrup for Diabetic syrup.
that part turned out well. But next time, I'll omit all that expresso powder. Maybe 1 teaspoon not 3 Tablespoon.

The recipe is incredible. Really. It's my perfect kind of cookie--chewy. At least that's how mine turned out. I made a half batch (just one egg...half of it I did no coffee due to family preferences, the other half I did with coffee. Both were excellent, although for a crowd-pleaser, I'd likely do without the coffee because it does have a prominent flavor. Also, due to allergies, I didn't add the nuts--but I'm sure they would be very good with them! I'm glad I finally got around to making this outstanding recipe! I know why it did so well on the show now!

I just finished eating one of these cookies. This is the second time I've made this recipe. My only issue with these cookies is that I can't just eat one!
They are so delicious! They make a huge batch of cookies and the first time, I took a bunch of cookies to work and everyone raved about them and wanted the recipe! The name of this cookie fits perfectly!! ....You will be saying yuuuuuummmmmmm with every bite!

I love the hint of cinnamon you taste after each bite. I actually used made coffee instead of granules. This time, I added more walnuts.

If you are reading these reviews because you?re debating making these cookies, don't debate any longer. You will NOT be disappointed!

Thank you Lisa for creating such heaven!

I tried this and I think I am doing somethign wrong. Maybe I didn't have the espresso granules fine enough---but I felt like I could taste too much coffee--almost crunchy. So, my question is ---can I use regular finely gound coffee instead of the espresso? I don't like a strong coffee flavor but I do like the way coffee brings out the taste of the chocolate. Any suggestions?

My husband loved this recipe when he saw it on tv, so I decided to make them. I had to substitute cappucino for th expresso and used just a regular syrup for maple, but everything else stayed the same. Everyone I have given them has loved them. They love how they stay so nice and soft. Great recipe!!!!

Shortly after watching the show I went and made these cookies for my wife. She and I had the same opinion about them, they were a little rich for our taste. The recipe made 5 dozen cookies. My wife took the remaining cookies to her preschool for the other teachers and they thought they were dynomite! I have never been hounded for a recipe like I was this one. They all think i'm a good cook, lol I got them fooled.

I made these yesterday and we are so pleased with them. We are a low sugar household so I used the Splenda half mix of the sugar and brown sugar and sugar free maple syrup. They turned out wonderful! I am so glad this recipe was put up.
