These never thickened in the refridgerator or freezer. We made these with our kids and nieces on Easter and were very disappointed. The kids didn't like the taste and they were too runny even after we added more sugar to try to thicken. The kids took one bite and threw the rest away.

This one isn't really worth one star!!! I am a chef and had been looking for the easter egg recipe my grandmother used to make; thought I had it! Wow - what a runny mess. Major disappointment in the fact too that Paua has become too famous and busy to answer questions when something doesn't work out. She used to be a fresh breath of fresh air in the "stars" on t.v. Now she travels and promotes herself too much.

Like most of the reviewers I also ended up with a runny mess. I somewhat salvaged it (I stress somewhat by adding cocoa powder to thicken it and reduce the sweetness. I was determined to follow through with my efforts and not end up throwing it all away. I really hope they revise the recipe, as it did look like a terrific recipe.

I watched this program on TV and it looked really easy. Mine also came out too runny and it never hardened in the refrigerator. There must have been more potates than the two mentioned. I was REALLY disappointed with this one!!! Something wasn't right in the directions.
    Won't try this one again!!!!!

I tried and failed 5 times to make these potato eggs. The second I added the sugar, it became soup. My husband forbids me to try it ever again. For those who had success, please tell us all how you did it!!!! I sent in a Question from Paula's page as well, and then read on the confirmation that they don't have time to answer every comment. Frustrating!!!!

I too experienced the 'melt-down' of the recipe! Right before my eyes, it turned to liquid. Paula and your team...please help us all! Can this be saved???

I was so excited when I seen this recipe aired a couple of days before the easter holiday this year, but was very, very disappointed in the outcome. I followed the recipe to the "T" and yet I ended up with a runny mess, just like most of the other people that tried to make these eggs. Is there a special type of potato that should be used. I sure wish that Paula would let us all know why in the world this recipe has failed for so many of us.

Although I read the reviews about the runny consistency of the chocolate covered potato eggs, I had faith that the recipe flop was a result of human error. Unfortunately, the recipe is flawed -- my batch, as well, turned out to be a runny mess that was not salvagable. What a disappointment.

Like the others, I too ended up with what can only be described as a curdled mess of sugar, potato, and butter. What a waste of time and money!
