WOW! What flavor! I can't imagine any other kind of chutney that I would prefer over this. It made the whole house smell like fall. The kick from the paprika's and the sweetness from the pears and sultana's are indescribable. These pork chops were perfection!

I am taking off one star because the recipe calls for solid vegetable shortening, code name trans fatty acids. Otherwise, it is a good recipe. I fried those chops in plain vegetable oil and they were great!

These were amazing, and it's because of the pear chutney! What a hit!! to save calories, you could grill the chops and not bread them etc...but they were extremely moist and super delicious so I'd try it the way Sunny says to do it first!

Awesome! I made this tonight. I only had 2 bone-in chops but I made the whole chutney recipe. We ate most of it. The chops were great even though I goofed them up -dusting them first then egging then realizing my mistake & then egging & dusting and then cooking in the hot oil. I timed them 5 minutes per side and still a bit undercooked for our liking. Reheated oil and put back in for a few minutes more & then all was soooo good! Will do again!! Served with steamed green beans & then sauteed with garlic and butter and a wild rice mixture - microwave - from Trader Joes. Very tasty!

I go back to this recipe ALL the time! These are the best pork chops I've ever made. I always have to make extras and never have leftovers. So delicious!

i made this, and i love it! i didn't make the chutney, but the porkchop was awesome! i just needed a little bit more salt and i used 1/4 cup of cornstarch and 1/4 cup of cornmeal... it was so good and this was my first attempt at pork chops... dunno if my dad liked them or not, but he ate it so it doesn't matter!

I keep coming back to your recipes because they are easy, with stuff I usually have or is cheap to buy. although I can't find pink peppercorns by themselves.. they are always mixed with other peppercorns.. Did you say they are related to cashews? or roses?

I tried frying the pork chops using a buttermilk wash, but your dry coating won me over! I'm frying a batch of PCs at this very moment and wanted to thank you!
