This recipe might be simple, but it's flavor is outstanding. I have been making fried chicken for my family for 12 years, but using the peanut oil and herbs was fantastic. Try this recipe, you will never go back to the old way. Just a tip, get the thermometer, it takes out the guess work.

This turned out to be an incredibly salty mess. My chicken ended up with a hard "turtle-like" shell. My white meat pieces were dry as the dessert, and found myself apologizing to my dinner guests.

I cook chicken so many ways but after trying this one my husband won't let me cook it any other way, and I agree

I have been cooking for 52 years, and this recipe is the best fried chicken I have ever served. Made it for 4th of July picnic and served it cold. Excellent. I am going to prepare it again tomorrow and serve it hot. I can hardly wait. Why didn't anyone ever tell me to let the chicken rest after is has been battered? Or wasn't I paying attention before. Thank you Tyler!!

This chicken was so tender and I love the thick coating from the double dipping. If you like fried chicken you have to try this. A+

Great flavor on the outside! However, the crust was not as crispy as I thought it would be after watching this episode on TV. The next time I make it I will use more salt in the flour mixture and dip in the flour 3 or 4 times rather than just two. I want it CRISPY!

Oh my goodness, this was sooo good! My whole family thought it was absolutely great. What was neat was that not only was this a unique twist on the fried chicken I have made, but the peanut oil never smoked, and you didn't feel greasy afterward at all. The chicken was also crispy the next day. I would make this for anyone, they will love it!
