Great fried chicken! Became messy when not smashed enough garlic blew up and oil hit the ceiling, My wife was very upset with me.
The taste of the chicken did make up for the mess. I will make it again.

My chicken turned out okay. I thought it would be a lot tastier though. The prep was tough and very messy. I think I am going to try someone else's recipe.

This chicken was outstanding. The coating was crispy, tasty and actually stayed on the chicken. Maintaining the temp. of the oil was the key. I did use onions in the oil instead of the herbs. You've never let me down. My guests were blown away. Thanks

This recipe is AWESOME. This past weekend i tried this recipe along with the roasted corn and grape/cherry tomato salad (all on the same show for a family get together. It was a raging success. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipes....Tyler you rock!

This fried chicken is best I have ever had. I love crispy fried chicken and it's very chrispy. I did lower the heat after adding the chicken as the larger breast pieces were getting very brown before the chicken was throughly cooked. This is only way I'll fry chicken again!

Even though the taste got kind of old, I like the flavor from heating herbs with oil. Easy on the double dip batter, If a lil lighter, will be awesome. Great cold too.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the timing is difficult. I read the reviews and turned the oven on to finish cooking it. I used large chicken drumsticks. After 7 or 8 minutes in the oil they were really brown and crunchy and I knew they were not done on the inside. I put them in the oven for at least 20 minutes at 350 degrees to finish . I have never made good fried chicken, so gave up trying.
My husband and I loved it, crispy, crunchy and tender.

My fried chicken addicts deemed this the best, crunchy fried chicken ever. So tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The spices into the oil created such frangrance. Lip smacking good!
