Tried this recipe for the first time when I first started cooking. I made them as drop biscuits, and they turned out great!

This is a "great" recipe! They are moist, flaky, so light. Cutting them a little thicker is better than rolling them thin. My fifteen year old daughter loved them. Will for sure make them again!

Like others, I added more sugar, but also threw in a little cinnamon and allspice and as we all know Paula loves....EXTRA BUTTER! I added extra butter (already softened to the dough and mixed the dough in my bread maker instead of by hand. I then added a pat of butter to each biscuit right before baking. They rocked...though not exactly healthy : I liked them cut big as biscuits should be, but also made a batch where they were cut really small like crackers. Just as yummy..kind of like wafers.

WONDERFUL! Made these for breakfast today with leftover roasted sweet potato from last night's supper. I used brown sugar instead of white and baked them at 425 for 15 minutes. They were light and moist and delicious. I put thick sliced ham between two for lunch and OMG it was the BEST sandwich I've had in a long time. Those that said these were tough or heavy must have either mixed too much or added too much flour. Be sure to sift before you measure and just knead a few times. You have to have a light hand with biscuits. I am going to use this recipe over and over. New family favorite!

Flat, dense, crumbly and lack sweet potato flavor. I love making homemade biscuits, but will not make these again.

This was my first attempt at homemade biscuits. They turned out well. I think the sweet potato flavor was very subtle. I would probably add more sweet potato next time because no one could really taste the sweet potato. Otherwise, very easy to make and delicious.

OMG thank you Paula Deen these are delicious! I tweeked Paula's recipe and used self rising flour omitting the salt and baking powder and used Splenda in place of sugar. Can't wait for the hubster to try one!!!
