I made these a week ahead for Thanksgiving and froze them. I warmed them in the oven before serving. I served them with fresh whipped butter (that I sweetened slightly with confectioners sugar and honey, cinnamon butter. Everyone raved about them. Although they come out rather flat, they are tasty. These buscuits were were super quick and easy to make. I will be making them again!

I followed the recipe exactly how it is written and they came out just as they look in the picture. I expected more of a flavor from them, so next time I will add my own addtl' spices to the batter.

After reading the previous reviews I decided to compare the baking powder amount to my own tried and true regular biscuits, it was more in comparison. I used only 3 tsp of baking powder and added 1/4 tsp cream of tarter(as called for in my recipe. They came out beautifully- they rose nicely and tasted great. My husband loved them. I will most definitly make these again.

I'm Duff Goldman's mom and I don't bake. I cook. I did, however make these biscuits for our Thanksgiving this year and plan to have them as a tradition from now on! They are pretty easy, beautiful and delicious.

The only thing I did differently is that, to save time, I didn't roll them out, but I just dropped them from the spoon on the baking pan. They came out like little jewels.

I served them with a compound butter of honey and fresh ground cinnamon, but of course plain butter would be perfect too. They had a ton of flavor and a beautiful autumn color.

Initially, I boiled up too much sweet potato, so I just doubled the recipe. I'm so glad I did because they were all gone by the end of the meal. Treat yourself and your guests. MAKE THESE! As Duff says - These biscuits are "Awesome". He's right, they really are.
