Made this dessert once, but everyone keeps asking for it again and again. Good thing it is fairly simple to make. Love the smooth creamy flavor.

This was amazing!!! I made this as part of Valentine's Day dinner for my husband. It was the perfect dessert! The flavor was so good plus I loved that it has espresso to give you a little "pick me up" after dinner, and it doesn't weigh you down. I also loved that I could make it way in advance so I was able to serve it as soon as we finished dinner. It was also so fun to eat dessert out of a martini glass, there's something about it that makes it feel so much more special :

Chilled overnight in my fridge. Was amazing. Doubled the recipe and it was the perfect serving size for 8 adults in medium size martini glasses.

does anyone know what would happen to this recipe if i added alcohol before refrigerating? i'm thinking about vodka... but would that have a funny reaction to the gelatin? i'll do a little research, maybe post what i find.

This is absolutely wonderful and extremely easy to make! I've made it twice in one week. I did substitute the expresso powder for instant coffe, which probably wouldn't make a big difference anyway.

This is a great treat for "cold" coffee lovers for the holidays or a party. I plan on making this for my next event. I like to use small coffee cups, fill them half way (as if, and adding a chocolate wafer for a little extra instead of the chocolate garnish. Mmmm, so good!

If you love coffee, you will love this. I did not have to strain, I whisked while cooking. However, I did stir during the first hour of cooling, it keeps the top from becoming too thick. It was an easy recipe, and there was definitely enough for four.... not in martini glasses! I will try other flavors as suggested in other reviews.
    Thanks

I picked Giada's recipe to try since it was only 2 servings (although I would have to agree that you could easily serve 3-4 people and because it looked the easiest. Loved the texture. I used a wisk throughout and also left the mixture in the pot on the counter to cool and stir. Once the stirring was done I filled into glasses and refrigerated for 6 hours, with saran wrap touching mixture to not get a skin. I did leave out the espresso as my boyfriend is not a fan. Topped with rasperry reduction instead (used left over gelatin and strained out seeds. Very yummy. Will make again, and try with espresso for my parents.

This was super easy and a hit at our recent dinner party. I followed the suggestions of another reviewer and strained the mix before chilling to remove any lumps of undissolved gelatin (although this proved to be an unnecessary step. I also chilled the mix in a large bowl, stirring every 20 minutes for the first hour, then poured into martini glasses for the remainder of the chill time. I would definitely make this again. Thanks for a great recipe, Giada!
