Aaron, this is indeed a belly buster. I saw the show on Saturday and ran to the store for chicken to make the soup that day. So easy and much easier than pot pies. Knowing it would be great, I made a double recipe to share with friends and family. Everyone raved about it. The pie crust makes it. Bring on some more comfort food!

I tried this on Sunday, excellent. My husband also thought it was a great soup recipe. He had two large bowls of it. Bring on more belly buster recipes, for us Aaron. way to go

This was wonderful. Watched the taped show this weekend and made the Chicken Pot Pie Soup and then used the left overs for a great pot pie for lunch this coming week. It's wonderful and I love your show. I love trying each recipe and love watching you have so much joy in what you create. Keep it up

This soup is so yummy, Very comforting and delicious. I used some leftover cooked chicken I had in the freezer and poached a leg and breast. The crumbled baked pie crust really makes the dish. I love your show. Keep up the good work.

This soup was outstanding. My only suggestion is that a dash of salt is added to the water to poach the chicken. Just found a new "favorite" for my family.

It took a little longer than the estimated 20 minute prep time, but maybe it was just me. However, once done, it was excellent. Great flavor and agree with some other reviews in that you could make it your own a bit with different ingredients if you wanted. Naturally the night I made it we had a rare 70 degree day but will make it again when it's colder as it would be the perfect meal for a snowy night. Great job Aaron. Have made many of Big Daddy's recipes and they are very easy to make for the home cook.

I though this was a good & easy soup to make, however, I do agree with one of the other reviewers that there's a bit too much Italian Seasoning in it. If I make it again, I will adjust the seasonings

My husband had cataract surgery and needed something filling yet easy. I saw the Belly Buster Episode the day before and thought, 'that has GOT to be good!' So with most of the ingredients on hand - even had a homemade pie crust in the freezer, I tossed the ingredients into a pot and a short time later we had a delicious soup. The pie crust topping really sets off this creation. My husband says this was the best chicken soup I've ever made! And true to form it is truly better the next day! Thanks so much!

Saw the show on Sunday and made the soup on Tuesday. When my husband came home from work he thought I made pot pie. We just loved it. Very easy to make so good. We love soups on cold winter days up here in North Dakota. Keep up the good work.

This is a great soup. I made a few changes. I used half olive oil & half butter for the roux and thyme & garlic powder for seasonings instead of the italian seasoning. Didn't have a store bought crust on hand so I just mixed a homemade one quickly. We really enjoyed this recipe a lot.
