Don't do the icing. Great donut otherwise, only used the sugar cinnamon recipe and they were great

I loved these!!! I didn't make the icing, we were happy just coating them with a cinnmon-sugar mix. These are so delicious and easy. I tried making homemade doughnuts the other night and it was disaster. These turned out perfect. Thanks Paula!!!

For the amount of effort I would give these 5 stars, but they aren't quite as good as real donuts, but JUST about! Quick and soft and squishy. I thought they would be cake like, but they are soft like yeast donuts.

These turned out surprisingly yummy. They were so easy and everything came together so nicely. I made them with the cinnamon & sugar and the chocolate glaze. So great.

Yummm! Made these last night and they vanished! As for the icing. I used one stick of unsalted butter melted, 2 C confectioners sugar, Tsp of Vanilla and enough milk to make it the desired consistancy for dipping the doughnut, note if the glaze becomes too thick then just add enough milk and wisk to desired consistancy. the butter will make a huge difference. I did not have penut oil so I just used vegetable oil. Oil temp should be at 350. A candy thermometer is a good investment and it is necessary here because if the oil is too hot it will burn the dough and leave the inside raw. If the oil is not hot enough then the dough will absorb the oil and taste soggy etc.

These are really yummy and easy to make. I didn't follow the same recipe for the glazes though.

They are fun and very easy to make. I have made them 3 or 4 times.
Just wish it was more of a Krispy Kream fluffy than a Dunken Donut thick.
