These were just ok.I really didn't care for the icing either. But my husband liked them and they were really easy to make!

What a surprise! I am the type who is suspicious of recipes that sounds too easy, or use pre-prepared ingredients, so when I saw this recipe I said 'No way!' Well, WAY! Amazingly delicious and soooo easy. One important point. Make sure the oil is at precisely 350 degrees Our oil got to about 365 and we said 'let's go for it'. Thankfully we only tried one donut hole and the outside got cooked and the inside was raw-ish. 350 and perfection. We put a combination of sugar and a spice called Sweet Spice (look for it online it is a combo of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves--scrumptious into a paper bag and shook the donuts in it after frying. Unbelievably great.Never in my life before this have I eaten 4 donuts in one sitting. Don't be skeptical. Try it!!

Very tasty...I did not have a thermometer to check the oil so it was too hot doing just holes by cutting biscuits in quarters - the outside was about to burn and inside was still raw...but let oil cool for a little while (5 min then cut next biscuit batch into 8ths rolled into balls and they cooked up nicely! Daughter loved them with icing and son with the cinnamon and sugar. I would like to find out how long I can save and reuse the rest of the oil. Hate to waste.

Just made them this morning and they came out great! I modified the icing a bit by adding espresso powder and half a shot of bacardi rum, came out awesome!

my kids LOVED them. I didn't have peanut oil so we made do with canola oil... however, they turned out great! the first time I've attempted doughnuts and they turned out looking and tasting like a pro did them.

I found this recipe and thought This can't be good. I read all of the reveiws, decided to try it. My kids, I loved them. I don't know about comparing them to krispy kreams because I think they are beyond gross. These are much better. My son wants to make some more. Coming from him that says a lot he is beyond picky, doesn't like much of anything. So this absolutly deserves the 5*s! These are worth trying! I'll be making these a lot :
