We were so pleasantly surprised at how delicious the doughnuts were. We made them this morning with the help of our 5 year old grandson. We did not try glaze this time, just powdered sugar and cinnamon and sugar. It was a fun time for all us. Thank you!

I made these this morning for my 3 boys and WOW!!. They tasted great. I used store brand buttermilk biscuits and cooked them in vegetable oil as I did not have Peanut oil. They were very good, cooked really quick and were more cake like than a traditional yeast donut. I used regular sized biscuits and the top from a 2 liter soda bottle to cut out the holes so they were mini-donuts. I did wind up heating the icing in the microwave an melting it so I could glaze them. Also I thinh next rime I'll add a touch more vanilla. Overall an awesome recipe that the kids enjoyed making with their dad.

i thought these donuts were very simple to make with cheap easy ingredients and the time it took to make was very short. the icing was not my favorite but it did taste well with the donuts.
for a fast quick dessert it is very yummy.
a suggestion: just fry the whole biscuit and roll it in sugar, you get malasadas.

they were good but the first 3 that i made were a little darker than i would've liked them to be...so of course, they tasted a little bit burnt. i will use it at a lower temp next time. i had to leave the donuts for a little longer cause they were undercooked inside. overall, they weren't that bad. i did a cinnamon sugar, choc, and glaze. the glaze actually tastes really good. i used only 1 can but i have another in the fridge. the next time that i make these, i'll use a lower temp and double dip the glaze doughnuts cause they tasted really good.

I only made the chocolate icing, as I needed to decorate cupcakes for my son's birthday party at school.

I couldn't believe how easy and delicious it was! It took less than a minute and boom I had delicious icing. I'll never buy storemade again.

And I think without the usual butter or cream cheese it was (relatively lower in fat and calories as well.

    Thanks Paula!
