I would recommend NOT using so much grapefruit unless you really like it. There is nothing in the salad to offset the bitter/sour taste of the grapefruit.

salad. Plus spinach makes our bodies happy due to it's extreme vitamin bounty, so our taste buds and bodies were pleasantly placated after eating this wonderful salada.

The dressing and salad were a bit too sour from the grapefruit. I'll use less next time.

Thank You for such an easy and elegant salad. I used iceberg lettuce and lite italian dressing with mandarin orange slices. I have been told that actual felons and internet stalkers spew venom against this show's host and that deeply saddens me. :-(

I used an angel food cake and canned frosting instead of the spinach and left off the dressing. I realize this isn't the same as the original recipe but I feel like rating it anyway.

I've customized the recipe, since my husband isn't big into Spinach, we used a European Mix. We used an apple cider vinegar in place of the champagne vinegar, and we used mandarin oranges, pears, and coated with walnuts. It was amazing!!! He's a picky eater and he loved it!! :
