This tasted OK but the texture was weird (a bit like cottage cheese as someone else said and it was a little on the pasty side and the color was also offputting (almost white, I was looking for yellow. I didn't add the booze but I'm glad I didn't per other reviewers comments. On the upside, it is spicy enough if you add pepperjack and the right salsa. Even so, won't be making this again. I'll be on the lookout for another queso recipe. Someone else said, "waste of good cheese" and they were right.

Again I should have read the reviews first. It was not good very chalky texture and strong tequila taste.

Wow!!!! This recipe was excellent on the crock pot. The only thing I did was not but tequila. This recipe is great for friends, family, and any sporting events at your home. I followed all the instructions, and all my friends enjoyed it, and asked me when I am going to make it again. Thank you Sandra lee for this recipe.

Omg! I wish I had read the reviews first on this one! We were having Mexican Night at my house and I saw Sandra making this; she talked so highly of it that I thought it had to be good. Boy was I wrong! Just like someone else said, it's the texture of cottage cheese and the taste of tequila is sooo strong that it's very hard to eat. And just like everyone else, I can't believe I wasted the money on all the ingredients...it's plain old awful!

YUM!! Definitely better tasting and better consistency the next day, so make it ahead of time. Tequilla is the main flavor and I used Suaza gold. I didn't know what "Mexican cheese" was so I just used the "4 Mexican cheese" mix sold at the store, already grated. THIS IS DELICIOUS!

If I could give this 0 Stars, I would!! I really wanted to love this recipe unfortunately it just didn't work. There was very little flavor except for the overwhelming alcohol from the tequila. I even tried adding Louisianan Hot Sauce for more flavor but that didn't work either. I was going to make this for an upcoming Super Bowl party and I'm so glad I did a trial run. It was inedible and had to be thrown out. I'm upset I spent the money on all that cheese and wasted some good tequila!! Do not make this dish - you will regret it! Sorry Sandra.

Didn't have any tequila on hand so used 1/2 beer instead. (Maybe it was the tequila overtones that others disdained. Also adjusted the flavor with some chili seasoning. Came out well.
