This had a nice distinct flavor. Savory and a little tangy. Easy recipe to follow.

This was not that bad..nothing too impressive. you need to salt the chicken really good otherwise it comes out bland. i'd add the plums towards the end so they don't swell so big. chicken actually is fall of the bone. i'd make it again but i'd put my touch on it.

This is my first time making one of Dave's recipes. I was so pleased with the flavor. As he said, Newcastle beer is excellent for this. At the end I made a slurry by whisking a quarter cup of the loose liquid from the stew and 2TB cornstarch and added it back in. Simmer until it thickens. This makes the sauce just the perfect consistency so it isn't too soupy. Also, add fresh new chopped thyme at this point to bring up the flavor. Really delicious and I usually don't like "rustic" food. Nice recipe Dave!

This was fantastic! Easy! We loved it! Reminds me of a Middle Eastern stew. So good, I made it last minute for company, in lieu of chili, while watching a football game! Warms the palatte and the soul...great for a cold fall or winter day! Now one of our favorites! And...one pot clean-up!

Fall off the bone tender. The beer and the tomato made for a very tasty sauce. Plan of making again and again

I made this for dinner for my husband and it was very good. I would debone the chicken when I make this again. It is so tender the chicken falls of the bones, but we both didn't like having to pick through it on our plates. Will definitely make this again.

I saw this on Dave's program yesterday morning & it looked delicious. I made it tonight--FABULOUS!! My husband thought it was awesome. The recipe was very easy to follow.
One comment: At the beginning of the recipe, it statest to preheat oven, but you don't use the oven. ?????
