More than beer flavor the Guinness make these cupcakes moist, and super rich. All of my friends moan in agreement, these are delicious.

**Hint: when you mix the cold beer and the butter, the butter does turn into little pebbles don't worry when they are baked it will melt and make the cakes moist and wonderful. Keep right along with the recipe. Don't over bake!

the first time i tried my boyfriend loved them so much he begged me to make them again. everyone who tried them absolutely loved them and wanted the recipe. for icing i used 8oz of cream cheese like the recipe but half amount of heavy cream and confectioner's sugar, and it was perfect.

These cupcakes are great--but next time I think I'll choose a different cream cheese icing recipe. There was enough icing for a double batch, and even after adding almost another half a box of powdered sugar it was still not as stiff as I would have liked. (the taste of the icing was good- just not the right consistancy Other than that I loved them! I will definitely make again!

The cupcakes turned out pretty tasty. They didn't puff up as much as I had hoped. The frosting could have used less than 3/4 cup of cream.(My icing is too runny. Also, if you aren't a fan of cream cheese I would just use vanilla frosting.

The chocolate is suttle, but good.

I didn't really like these. Maybe I did something wrong. When I mixed the beer with the butter, it became really chunky and I couldn't get the batter to become smooth. Then maybe I overcooked them, but they came out pretty dry. I also didn't like the cream cheese frosting with those cupcakes. They didn't seem to go together well. The frosting itself was delicious though. But I would add less cream next time as it was too runny.

These cupcakes are easy to make and very good. The Guinness flavor, however, was not as strong as I thought it would be. My sister disagreed with me, yet she doesn't care for Guinness... so maybe that's why? I suppose it's better to have a subtle flavor than something too strong. I wound up with a lot more frosting than necessary, so don't freak out at the amount of sugar you'll put into it (it's so yummy though!. I definitely recommend making these.

I cannot tell you how many compliments I've gotten on this cupcake recipe. The only changes I've made is substituting all the ingredients for organic and changing the Guinness to Stockyard Oatmeal Stout. All in all, this recipe is a winner! Thanks Dave!

The batter comes out very wet, but cooks up to a moist and delicious cup cake. These were winners and the load I sent to the neighbors received rave compliments!
